John’s experience combines current independent consultancy with substantial earlier operational management across complex healthcare, multi-site retail and warehousing, manufacturing and international project environments. Through Remote Consulting UK Ltd and specialist appointments, John has worked with approximately 25 NHS
Trusts across acute, specialist, mental health and other complex healthcare environments.
Assignments include Fire Safety Management System audits, governance and assurance reviews, fire risk assessments, policy review, evacuation arrangements, training, drills and short-term specialist cover.
Before specialising in risk consultancy, John held senior operational roles in the UK and South Africa involving large 24/7 manufacturing operations, engineering and planned maintenance, production, health and safety, quality and environmental improvement.
At Frame Textiles, he managed more than 600 employees; at Little Slipper Company, 315 employees across three production facilities.
John’s international experience includes the UK, South Africa, Uganda and Libya. Work has included manufacturing
management and property development in South Africa and environmental services / energy-from-waste project
development in East and North Africa.
He has also provided operational communications support for major UK sporting venues through Sound Decisions Ltd.
